Grandma always knew how to make everyone happy in the family, most especially us, her grandchildren. As kids, we just loved to play and eat. Those were the activities that made up most of our childhood. We didn’t have to worry about bills or work or friends or enemies—we were just enjoying every day and living life to the fullest without any problems in our young minds.
Grandma loved to bake us cookies. And she always made sure we have equal amounts of cookies for each of us. The only condition she ever had was that we should drink milk while we ate the cookies.
She didn’t have to tell us twice though because her cookies tasted really good with milk. Our favorite cookies of hers were her old-fashioned peanut butter cookies. We loved peanut butter, which was why every time she told us she would make them for us, we all behaved.
No one would want to miss eating her peanut butter cookies just by misbehaving. Grandma’s cookies were crunchy on the outside, but creamy and chewy on the inside, just the way we all loved our cookies. A recipe for these peanut butter cookies can be found on the next page. I hope you will enjoy this recipe!
