I had a project once that involved a lot of logistics. My team had to do a very thorough research that involved sleeping in hotel rooms around the city just because we need to wake up very early to get information. It’s not classified information, it’s just that the people involved are very busy people and we needed to catch them before they immersed themselves in their usual schedules.
During that time, I was rarely at home. Me and my team were probably the most tired people in the world. After the project, everyone was just too happy and too giddy!
We didn’t care that we were all tired. We had to celebrate and celebrate we did! We bought beers from the grocery and a few chips while some of us made dinner.
That night was full of relieved laughter and stories that made us all laugh. We were free to laugh because the project finally ended and we could laugh about our sufferings. It was made better by good company and good food.
We had the tastiest and creamiest baked pork chops that night. Those pork chops just made the day even better. It was the cherry on top of an already good day.
