Grandpa was famous for a lot of things, cooking wasn’t always his best category of performance though. That was true for most foods, except his meatloaf. It was the most mouthwatering, tender, juicy meatloaf that I have ever had. Everyone was crazy about it! I’ve tried to duplicate it myself several times, with his ingredients list, but it never seems to work out the same way as his.
It might be the technique that he perfected beings it was his only meal that he had to work on. When I found this recipe for meatloaf on Recipe Lion I was shocked. It looked exactly like Gramps’ recipe.
I decided to give it a try and it was pretty much identical in flavor. I don’t think anything will ever be as good as his, but this one comes in a close second. If you want to know how my Grandpa cooked his meatloaf, try this recipe tonight.
