I’m usually a pretty traditional, home style, old school cook. I learned everything I know from my mother. That’s how she cooked. She didn’t have much of a choice back in her earlier years. Well, my grandchildren don’t always appreciate homemade foods. They are living in a world of fast food so a nice roast and mashed potatoes just isn’t the same to them as a meal served in a box.
They were coming for the weekend and I wanted to surprise them with a fun snack. They needed to know that Grandma was still cool. Thankfully I found this recipe on The Pioneer Woman.
What kid doesn’t love pizza? And I love potatoes so these seemed like the perfect answer. I made them and the kids all gobbled them right down!
They said they were so good and when they left asked if I could make them again next time they come. Of course I will! It was quite simple, and if they like them, I’ll make them as much as they want.
