There are several reasons why St. Patrick’s Day is one of the holidays I look most forward to. One is because it’s my father-in-law’s birthday. That means lots of laughs and time spent with those that mean the most. Another reason is of course the traditional Irish food that seems to pop up all over town. I was never much for making these meals on my own, but now that I am working to expand on my cooking skills, I thought I would try this recipe that I found on All Recipes.
One thing that got my attention was the fact that it said it was all done in the slow cooker. As a busy mom, that is probably my favorite kitchen gadget.
I tossed everything in as directed and left it to continue on with my day. By dinner time, the amazing smell filled the house and we couldn’t wait to dig in.
Everyone in my dining room was in love with the new dish. I will be making this for more than just St. Patrick’s Day…I can see that!
