I used to love walking into my Grandparent’s house to the smell of a fresh roast cooking. Even if I hadn’t planned on staying long, I would hang around for dinner when beef stew was on the menu. Grandma always knew how to get the meat perfectly tender, the gravy the exact thickness, and the flavor just right. Now that I have kids of my own, I like to be able to pass down the great meals that I had when I was a kid.
It’s not the fast food that seems to be taking over the world, but my kids never complain when this dish from Group Recipes is on the table. My daughter is getting to that age now where she wants to learn about the food I cook and how I do it so that she can take it with her.
It’s a bittersweet moment for me when she asks to help. I love spending time with her, but I know that soon, she will be off feeding her own family this lovely beef stew. Take the time to cook it for your loved ones once and you’ll see what I’m talking about!

“I would like to receive recipes” used Google translate.
I would like to receive recipes. I am making this tomorrow but adding 8 oz of mushrooms. I have made this recipe for years minus the cornstarch. I can see where this will make a great difference. Need to make some biscuits for the incredible gravy this must make
