You’ll Go Ape Over These Banana Flap Jacks!

If your kids are anything like mine, they wait until the very last minute to tell you about major school projects.

We can be sitting at the dinner table, getting ready to relax for the evening and suddenly one of them will pipe up about the supplies they were supposed to get to complete their assignment. Usually, when I ask how long they have to get the supplies, the answer is, I have to do it tonight.

There are few things in life more frustrating than that. It just happened a few weeks ago, so after the dishes were cleared, we headed to the store to pick up what was needed. Then, I stayed up all night with my busy student trying to complete the project to the best of our abilities.

After turning in at midnight, there was satisfaction with what had been done. In the morning, we woke up starving! Thankfully, I had some of this banana foster sauce in the fridge and some pancakes to go with it.

Just a few seconds in the microwave and breakfast was on the table. Off to school, he went with a project to be proud of and a full belly.
