Waiting On Pay Day Tasty Casserole

When we really are having a hankering  to go out to eat, but it’s not in the budget, I will whip up this casserole.  I can pair it with a nice dinner salad and some warm rolls and it’s just like we are dining in the restaurant. There are never any complaints from my table when this comes out. Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at Recipe Lion:

“…an easy ground beef casserole recipe that is cheap enough to make any night of the week and so tasty you won’t be bored.”

This is a pretty versatile dish, so mix and match the ingredients until you find something you love!

1 pound Johnsonville bulk Italian sausage, browned and drained

1 (12-ounce) bag egg noodles, cooked and drained

2 cups cottage cheese

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon oregano

2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a bowl, combine sour cream, cottage cheese, salt, pepper, and oregano.

In a baking dish, layer half the prepared egg noodles, meat, cottage cheese mixture, shredded cheese, and marinara sauce.  Continue to layer with the other half portioned ingredients. End with a layer or marinara and top with shredded cheese.
