When it comes to festive dessert ideas I am all ears and ready to listen. I LOVE all kinds of big gatherings, festivals and family reunions. The 4th of July is one of my favorites and I especially love making yummy treats for the celebration. My tiny town holds an annual block party during the 4th of July and everyone gets together and makes great food and hangs out until dusk when we all gather together to watch the fireworks. It’s so much fun!
This year I decided to bring something I hadn’t tried before. I made lemon blueberry cupcakes with frosting, and they turned out so delicious that they were gone in the blink of an eye! I must say I’ve made them twice after that already. My family fell in love with these, too.
These little cupcakes not only look cute and delicious, but they also taste amazing. You can play with food colorings if you’d like to make the frosting pink, blue, or whatever tickles your fancy. These would make a great dessert for baby showers or birthday parties, too!

Quick Tip: Add food coloring to the frosting to make these cupcakes fit the color-theme of your party!
