Sweet Peach And Juicy Cherry Upside Down Delight – A Cake Of The Ages

This one-pan skillet dessert is perfect when someone pops in unexpectedly. You can easily throw it all together while visiting. Then, it goes in the oven for an hour and bam…fresh dessert! You don’t have a ton of cleanup to do in the kitchen taking your attention away from your guests either. You can’t go wrong serving this cake. It’s so moist and full of flavor, everyone has to try a piece. I haven’t heard any complaints yet!

Ingredients

1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix w/pudding
2 can(s) peach halfs
3 large eggs
13 medium cherry’s
1/4 c oil
1 can(s) reserved juice from peaches
1 stick real butter
1 c Domino’s light brown sugar

Instructions

In a large cast iron skillet melt butter, stir in the brown sugar till well blended. Remove from heat, drain the peaches saving one cup of the juice. Layer the peach halves cut side up,place cherries around the peaches. Mix the cake mix with the 1 cup of reserved peach juice,oil and eggs. Beat on med for 3 mins. Take a cup and place batter around till all is covered. If you if try to pour the batter on it will mess up the nice placement of the fruit. Bake for one hour at 350 degree’s. Once done place glass plate over top and flip over (be sure plate is large as you will have a little run off of the filling for the sides. Let cool before serving.
