Simply Waffles

My kids were both coming home from college for the weekend, something that didn’t happen too often any more. They would frequently come home, but hardly ever at the same time. It wasn’t even a holiday or anything. Their schedules just happened to match up that way. I was over-the-moon thrilled to have everyone under one roof without anything pressing going on that was going to pull us right back out the doors again.

So, for Saturday morning breakfast, I wanted to do up something special, but nothing that was going to take too long, because I wanted to enjoy spending every stress-free moment with them.

That’s why I was so happy when I found this waffle recipe on All Recipes. It was just what I was looking for. Everyone in my house loves waffles, and this would be so much better than the frozen variety I usually served.

I was right…they were a huge hit among the whole family. Topped off with our favorite maple syrup and butter, it was heavenly.
