Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth With This Mouth-Watering Brittle!

Hold On To Your Hats Because This Stuff Is Amazing!

One of my fondest childhood memories is going to my church during the holidays and preparing all kinds of sweet treats to pack up into goody boxes for the needy. The church ladies, as I used to call them, sure knew how to bake all kinds of delicious cookies and candy! My mother and I would make fudge and brittle. I loved helping my Mom and learning how to make these lovely treats.

I think these cookie and candy bakes are the reason why I learned to love baking. One of my favorite sweet treats even today, is this chocolate and peanut brittle. It wasn’t until later that I discovered we were making this brittle because it was stable enough to be transported. We wrapped it in waxed paper and made these pretty, decorative boxes for them.

Then, it’d get placed into a goody basket and given away to someone in need. I was kind of hoping for leftover baskets so that I would get to take some of them home with me, haha! But my mother always made an extra batch we could eat at home.
