Pure Country In A Casserole Pan: Biscuit And Gravy Bake

This recipe is so good, but it’s also very simple so those picky eaters that you have that don’t like all the extra special ingredients are going to love this too. I have a two-year-old that doesn’t normally eat anything but cereal or pancakes for breakfast, but he loves this stuff. He will usually eat two helpings and then take a nice long morning nap. That’s what a mom loves to see more than anything!

Whenever we are hosting a brunch, this is my go-to meal. It’s so filling and there is a big enough pan to feed any hungry crowd.

Ingredients

10 oz tube of Pillsbury buttermilk biscuit dough
6 eggs
1 pkg powdered gravy pouch (plus ingredients per package to make gravy)
1 lb Johnsonville sausage, any flavor
1 c Kraft cheese, shredded
1/2 c milk
salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350. Take a 13×9-in pan and spray with cooking spray (or smear with butter). Cut biscuit dough into 1″ pieces, and line the bottom of the pan.

Brown the sausage & drain.

Scatter the browned sausage over the biscuit pieces, then top with shredded cheese.

Whisk eggs and milk with a pinch of salt and pepper, then pour over the pan.

Make gravy according to instructions, and pour over the pan. Bake for 30-45 minutes, depending how hot your oven runs.

Cut and serve. It’s delicious warm right out of the oven!
