Onion Patties Inspired By Amish Traditional Cooking

Until You’ve Tried These, You Don’t Even Know What Scrumptious Means!

My daughter was just wrapping up her first year away at college. She was coming back home to live with us for her last summer before renting an apartment back in the town where she went to school. The next year, her plan was to get a decent job and stay there year round. It broke my heart, but I knew it was coming eventually. My daughter and I were like peas in a pod.

She was so much like me, and we got along so well. There were no horror stories like so many mothers I know have about their teenage girls. We were always the best of friends. One thing that we had in common was our taste in food.

We both loved anything with onions. So, when I found this recipe on Group Recipes for onion patties, I figured I would surprise her with them when she arrived back home.

After we stopped hugging and crying, we sat down and ate the whole plate between just the two of us. They were so simple and so tasty!
