Who Needs Pineapple When you Have Peach For your Crock-Pot Ham!

When Winter starts to dwindle away and I can finally open my windows and let the fresh air in, I feel like Spring has finally sprung. Who doesn’t love that feeling? It also gets me all jazzed to make some Spring inspired dishes? Another thing that I love, making food for the seasons. Spring gets me inspired to start incorporating fruits into your savory dishes, which gives it the sweet kick that I crave! Are you all with me on that one?

My family loves ham. I love ham as a main dish too. However, I was not in the mood for doing something ordinary. I wanted to jazz up my ham and I was tired of only brown sugar or pineapple! I was going through some of the sweeter things in my head and trying to figure out what would taste good and more importantly – What would my family eat?

We all know that every family has a picky eater. Apricots? No, that won’t work. Then it hit me! Peaches! They do not get enough credit. They are delicious and they cook really well. The perfect ingredient to Spring up my ham!
