Mrs. Thompson’s Amazeballs Crescent Topped Turkey Chili!

Mrs. Thompson is our vivacious neighbor who seemed so fond of my boyfriend. I know it’s familial, which is why I find it cute whenever she dotes on him as if he’s her own son. We met her when we first moved in. She was mowing her front lawn when our truck of things pulled up at the house opposite hers. The moment she saw us, she came over and introduced herself as our “reliable next-door-neighbor”.

It’s true though! She deserves the description. She’s everyone’s “Mom”.

I heard that her husband is always away and her sons and daughters are all married and have their own families, which is why she acts like this towards her younger neighbors. Mrs. Thompson cooks the best pies. I will not say no to any of her dessert pies or her meat pies.

The latest one she brought to us was called Turkey Chili. I have tasted a few versions of this type of pie, but hers was probably one of the best ones. She has all the time in her hands to perfect a lot of dishes and she uses the best and probably the most expensive ingredients.

We try not to bother her too much, but she always insists on feeding us and actually, most of her neighbors. If you want a chili similar to Mrs. Thompson’s but with probably cheaper ingredients (which I used while making this and it still turned out great), this recipe is for you.
