This Layered Macaroni Casserole Will Set Your Table Apart From The Rest

It was only when we were first married did my husband and I move in together. We were raised back in a time where things were more traditional, including not living with a member of the opposite sex until after you said your vows in front of your family, the church, and your God. So, those first few months were definitely a learning experience. During that time we figured out how to exist in each others space, how one another functioned on a daily basis, and what made us each tick.

It was my job back then to also figure out what to make for dinner. I didn’t work, my husband did. That left me back to care of the house. One of the first meals I ever made for him was this layered macaroni casserole that my mother had taught me how to make before I moved out.

I was nervous that he wasn’t going to like it, but he in fact fell in love with it. Group Recipes has this very same recipe that I used back then, and it’s the same one that I still serve today. It never gets old, even 25 years later.

Quick Tip: Shell pasta also works well in this casserole.
