Grandma’s Tasty Chicken Salad Casserole

There is nothing more traditional than chicken and rice. It’s something that my grandma, Mom, and now I make regularly at our house. My Granny of course came up with the original recipe, and now we all make it. My husband’s favorite dish is chicken and rice, but I can mix it up a bit so that we aren’t eating the same exact thing every time I prepare it. My Granny’s recipe is good, but I don’t know if it’s as good as this recipe that I found on Recipe Lion.

This dish is so cheesy and ooey gooey, even I couldn’t get enough of it. When I made it for the family the first time, we nearly cleared the whole pan out. My husband likes it better than my hand-me-down recipe too.

Even my kids gobbled this down and to get them to eat chicken and rice isn’t always the easiest task. I will still make my Gram’s recipe from time to time, but this is the new favorite at our house.

The ingredients list is short, the instructions are simple, and it comes out of the oven fairly quickly. It’s the perfect dinner for any busy weeknight!
