Good Ol’ Boy Mac And Cheese

Even though I am somewhat embarrassed to share this story, I am going to tell you anyways. I didn’t have baked macaroni and cheese made the old fashioned way until I was about 12 years old. My mom was busy and she didn’t have time to spend in the kitchen. She didn’t care much for mac and cheese either so we didn’t ever get it made this way. If we asked for it, it came out of a box.

She was good at making it like that, but it was nothing compared to the homemade kind I had. When I saw my friend’s mother put it in the oven I was a little confused. I had never seen mac and cheese cooked that way.

“Just wait!” said my friend. We went and played for a while and when we came back we sat down to the most amazing form of this pasta I had ever tasted.

I was so thrilled when I came across the similar recipe on All Recipes, I had to make it right away. It was just as good as I remembered it, and my kids loved it a too. A new favorite at our house!
