Enjoy This Lovely Turkey Stew In Just 30-Minutes!

I have permission from my best friend to tell you this story. Well… her sister got engaged recently to her long-time boyfriend. I was there to witness the romantic moment, but none of us knew it would happen. It was in the house of her parents. Her family knew me so well so automatically, in every function, I was invited. Yes! Best friend privileges. I was happy that night because they’re serving her mom’s famous turkey stew.

I love that recipe because it was something she had shared with me knowing that I’m a sucker for easy recipes. So while we were eating, a few people came. We were sort of surprised because as far as we knew, it’s a family function.

These were people we didn’t know. Suddenly, the lights dimmed and out came her sister’s boyfriend singing something while holding the box of ring in his hands. Okay, so we already knew what happened next.

There were tears of joy and howls of happiness. After the momentous event, half of the guests (the ones we didn’t know) already left. The stew was also gone. Bummer.

We found out later that day that those people were there to support the groom. They were the groom’s friends. I called them the 30-minute guests who took away my 30-minute turkey stew!

Quick Tip: When you find it too peppery, incorporate some half-half cream and a little splash of lemon juice along with the flour and water.
