Creamy Tuna Noodle Casserole – Just Like Mother Used To Make

The comforts of this creamy tuna noodle casserole will remind you of mom’s kitchen.

Almost all of my first food tastes happened when I was a kid—I told you I would eat anything! I encountered tuna casserole at the birthday party of a friend of my Mom’s. Since it was an adult party and I was just around 10, I had all the adults’ attention. They made me eat a lot of food and asked so many questions. Because I was always uncomfortable with small talks, my focus immediately went to all the food being handed to me. Except for that “thing with the white sauce”, everything else was familiar to me. So I tasted that one first. I’m glad I did!

After Mom learned that I loved it, she asked her friend for the recipe and recreated that dish on her own to suit our tastes. Knowing that my picky brother didn’t eat anything with mayonnaise, she substituted it with heavy cream instead.

It tasted so much richer, but it also tasted better; at least to me.
