This Chicken And Rice Soup Is Wild!

Whenever my kids are sick, I know that there is nothing that will make them feel like themselves again more than a nice warm bowl of soup. I am guilty of getting the canned version and warming up in the microwave way too often.

Sure, it tastes okay, but it’s not the same as a homemade soup. I never really went into soups too much because it always seemed like it was a whole lot of work that I wasn’t ready to commit too. That was, until I found this recipe on Spend With Pennies.

The ingredients were simple, most I already had on hand, and the instructions gave me the impression it basically cooked itself.

When my little guy came down with the flu, I pulled this card out of my stack. I went to work putting all my love and care into the dish and couldn’t wait until it was done. The house smelled amazing and my son even came out of his room to try some.

It tasted just as good as it looked and he scarfed down two bowls. Before I knew it he was back up and running around the house acting like his old self again. I’m so happy that I took a chance on soup and I won’t be scared of making it ever again!

Quick Tip: If your soup is too thick, add in more chicken broth.
