Calling All Hungry People – Creamy Pea Salad Is On The Menu

You can’t have a proper picnic without pea salad.

At least, that’s what my husband thinks. I have to hand it to the guy that he is probably right. Most people think of potato and macaroni salads when they are thinking about picnics but here in Amish-country Pennsylvania, we think of creamy pea salad. I found this recipe over on The BZ House That Love Built blog and decided that I really needed to make it. It looks so dang good in the picture that my mouth wa sliterally watering.

I have had creamy pea salad before but I hadn’t made it for myself and my husband said that it was high time that I did. He told me that his grandma would make it all the time for church gatherings and potlucks as well as family picnics. After tasting it I can see why.

I bet your curiosity is piqued about this recipe, yes? Flip on over to the next page for the yummy details!

Quick Tip:   I’ve tossed in some diced ham to this salad before and made a meal out it. Very good as a light lunch.
