This Cake Had A Beer And Became Totally Irresistible!

Before we even get started, there’s something I want to say to all the beer-haters out there. It’s not just any ol’ beer you add in this, and the cake won’t actually taste like beer, in case you don’t happen to like the flavor. You can also very easily make a non-alcoholic version by replacing the malt beverage as instructed. So, there we go – this is a beautiful cake recipe that’s suitable for everyone!

Now that we got all that out of the way, let’s get down to business, shall we? This is actually a strawberry-flavored cake, with a chocolate frosting! The flavor combination is going to blow your mind and you’ll probably want to double the ingredients just to make sure your guests are going to get a piece, too.

This is my absolute favorite cake for summer – we like to have big family gatherings and picnics with friends, and people always ask if I’m going to bring “that awesome drunken cake” again. And I always do!

By the way, you don’t have to worry. A piece of this cake won’t make you tipsy. But if you make two cakes and eat both of them by yourself, in one go (which is a perfectly reasonable scenario) then you may want to get a designated driver!
