Basic Chocolate Muffins – Simple Is Sassy

When I was a little girl I can remember my mother baking just plain chocolate cake for my dad or plain chocolate cupcakes. She didn’t put any frosting on it. My dad loved it! Apparently, eating plain cake with black cherry ice cream was pretty stinkin good. The following recipe is certainly very sweet as it has sugar and mini chocolate chips in it so adding frosting really isn’t needed. However, if you prefer frosting, have at it.

I like to eat these basic chocolate cupcakes with a glass of milk. I sometimes place the cupcake in a bowl and pour a little milk over the top. It’s amazing!
